Time on the farm is spent with you looking at what you are currently doing and discussing what habitats may be missing and how to create them. This involves a lot of discussion about what you want from the land and what and how we can create the best habitats for that landscape.
All my advice is nature led and is set around increasing biodiversity and bio-abundance.
I tend to take plenty of photos and if possible (and permitted) some drone footage. All images will be made available to you afterwards.
Generally I arrive by 1000, and we are usually finished by mid-afternoon, this is obviously dependent on the farm size and variety of habitats etc.

After the visit, I will create 3 main maps:
Both 1 & 2 above will fit to UK Habitat Level 3 designations where possible
A practical feedback report in the form of a long-form email/PDF sectioned out to cover the different topics will follow the site visit.
I have moved away from “reports” as these can be seen as final statements and not information to build a project on. The feedback information is about what can be done to improve an area for wildlife, or what management needs to change to create opportunities for nature.
The feedback is bespoke to what we were looking at in the field and can be between 1500-4000 words long depending on the complexity of the site, size of the farm etc.
This is just a guide, I will tailor each visit and feedback to you and your aspirations for your land.
Where possible I will also include a simple Natural Capital assessment. What funding may be available and who best to contact for that funding.
